Fraud Prevention Guide

 

At Arden Hill Partners, a DBA operating under Belpointe Asset Management, LLC, the security of our clients’ financial information and assets is of paramount importance. This guide is designed to help you recognize, prevent, and respond to potential fraud.

 

Recognizing Fraud

Be alert for the following warning signs:

• Unsolicited calls, emails, or messages requesting personal or financial information

• Requests to wire money or transfer funds to unfamiliar accounts

• Pressure to act quickly or claims of urgent deadlines

• Promises of guaranteed returns or risk-free investments

• Communications with spelling errors, unusual formatting, or unfamiliar sender addresses

• Requests to keep transactions confidential or bypass normal procedures

 

Protecting Yourself

• Never share your passwords, PINs, or account credentials with anyone, including individuals claiming to represent Arden Hill Partners or Belpointe Asset Management

• Verify the identity of anyone requesting financial transactions by calling our office directly at 803-965-4143 or 704-412-3155

• Use strong, unique passwords for your financial accounts and enable multi-factor authentication when available

• Monitor your account statements regularly for unauthorized transactions

• Be cautious of public Wi-Fi when accessing financial accounts

• Keep your devices and software up to date with the latest security patches

Reporting Suspected Fraud

If you suspect fraudulent activity related to your accounts, take the following steps immediately:

2. Contact your account custodian to place a hold on any suspicious transactions

3. File a complaint with the SEC at sec.gov/tcr

4. Report identity theft to the FTC at identitytheft.gov

5. File a report with your local law enforcement agency

 

Our Commitment

Arden Hill Partners and Belpointe Asset Management, LLC will never ask you to send money via wire transfer, gift cards, or cryptocurrency based on an unsolicited communication. We will never ask for your passwords or login credentials. All legitimate account changes and fund transfers follow established procedures with proper verification.
